Enforced ‘Dormouse’…
Happy gentle emerging into 2016 to you all, unless you’re the type who likes to enter the New Year with a bang…
Last year, I got really clear about the fact that I like to hibernate in January, & do my rituals & assessing in a gradual way, with a lot of intuition. So, I was ready to do exactly that this year, feeling quite smug & smart about my self-awareness… That was until I got knocked out/down by the flu that’s going around – haha, not so smug or self-aware now! I’m now clawing my way back to health & out of ‘enforced dormouse’ state, & am gratified at how many extremely healthy, self-aware people also fell by the wayside with ill health of one sort or another. As always, sickness allows you to do more reading, listening or watching, (along with sleeping) & I’ve heard some inspiring podcasts which have supported some planning for 2016.
There’s more & more material to suggest that, especially as women, we would be wise to monitor our energy patterns alongside our menstrual cycles & indeed, the moon cycles. That way we can harness the different types of energy we access throughout the month & maximise our output, alongside with being sensitive to our deeper needs. I’m not sure we master all of it, but we can restore ‘normality’ faster, which is key! The New Moon was yesterday & it seems fitting to have emerged on that day… What do you notice & how can you make it work for you..?
